Much of my time in Colorado was spent climbing mountains, and I want to thank my new friend Mark (http://markmadness.org/) for all of the excellent trail recommendations and information. The first order was a tall one: Twin Sisters Peaks trail at 11428' (Climbing from ~9000') RT distance = 8 miles
View from the top of the West Peak
A look down at Estes Park, CO
Lessons learned:
- Start early (very early)
- Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses
- Wear long sleeves and pants for sun and wind protection
- Lots of water (10 or more ounces per mile)
